Video Game Hall of Fame Class of 2015

Ladies and Gentlemen, Meet the 2015 World Video Game Hall of Fame Class

The Strong National Museum of Play has officially announced the Inaugural World Video Game Hall of Fame Class. Six games made it into the Hall of Fame from a list of 15 finalists. The Inaugural World Video Game Hall of Fame Class is as follows:

  • Super Mario Bros
  • Pac-Man
  • Tetris
  • Doom
  • Pong
  • World of Warcraft

This class is a good beginning class for the Hall of Fame as it contains six games that not only entertained people around the world, but also made a historical and cultural impact around the world. Going with mostly classics and one modern game was a fair selection. The first class is always the hardest to choose for a Hall of Fame.

Are you satisfied with the Strong National Museum of Play’s first six choices into the World Video Game Hall of Fame? What games do you believe deserve to be in the Hall in the future?  Share us your thoughts below.
