Splatoon

GAME UK has informed its customers that an entire truck carrying pre-orders of Splatoon has been stolen in Europe.

Emails have been sent out to those who pre-ordered the Splatoon + Squid Inkling bundle to inform them that the truck carrying said pre-orders has been stolen!

Part of the email reads as such:

We regret to inform you that the lorry transporting the Splatoon stock from Nintendo’s European warehouse to GAME UK has been stolen. Included in this delivery was our allocation of the Splatoon + Squid Inkling amiibo. As a result, we are unable to honour your original pre-order due for delivery on the 29th May 2015.Due to these extraordinary circumstances, we will unfortunately not be getting replacements for these missing items. We have no option but to substitute the Splatoon + Squid Inkling in your order with the standard version of the game. You will still receive your Inkling Girl and Inkling Boy amiibo.

GAME UK have offered a full refund to those that have been affected by this bizarre turn of events. It seems people will go to any length to get those amiibos.

Have you been affected by the Splatoon thieves?

David Rawlings, or ‘Rawky’ as we like to call him, joined the Operation Rainfall Campaign at the beginning. He’s British and found solace with us as he was able to understand our pain about Nintendo and their localizing faux pas. He’s a big fan of the letter ‘U’ and refuses to remove them from words, even though we constantly ask him to. He also believes it’s about time Princess Daisy got kidnapped.
