Capcom uploaded a new character trailer for Street Fighter V to their official Street Fighter YouTube account, and it features M. Bison, arguably The Villain of the franchise. He was teased at the end of Charlie’s trailer, and it seems Capcom decided to reveal him right after Charlie.
M. Bison’s moveset has definitely received some renovation. One new attack is a projectile counter, shown off in response to Charlie firing a Sonic Boom at him. He also appears to have some sort of Psycho Power energy pillar attack that can keep opponents airborne. It seems his stomp attack, the Head Press, can now hit opponents off-the-ground, perhaps for a little more damage. He also appears to have a command grab (the move that results in him stomping on the opponent twice) and he’s got the Psycho Vanish back (the move where he waves his hand from head-height to the ground) from Capcom VS SNK.
If you look closely, you’ll notice that M.Bison’s hair is actually going to be white in this game. You have to wonder what happened to him; perhaps it has something to do with his Psycho Power, but why now? Either that, or aging hit him hard and fast. Or something. In any case, there are only four characters known for Street Fighter V so far. Ryu and Chun-Li look mostly familiar, while there are noticeable differences with Charlie and M. Bison. Wonder what’s next for the other returning characters (and the other characters who will be entirely new to the Street Fighter franchise!)
