The original Mystery Dungeon protagonist returns yet again.

Spike Chunsoft is set release an updated port of one its flagship series, Shiren the Wanderer, for the PlayStation Vita. Shiren the Wander 5 Plus: Fortune Tower and the Dice of Fate was originally released on the Nintendo DS in 2010, and this updated release will add widescreen support as well as new dungeons.

While the franchise may not sound familiar to many western gamers. Another of its spinoff’s, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, should be. Spike Chunsoft develops both franchises and the two share many elements such as exploring randomly generated dungeons and the general rouge-like feel. While only two of the Shiren games have been localized we can always hope this one gets the treatment.
