Alright, bad news first. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has pushed back the PS3 and Xbox 360 release of Mortal Kombat X until an unspecified date in the summer of this year. The Xbox One, PS4, and PC versions are still on schedule for April 14. There hasn’t yet been a reason for the delay announced.
Now, the good news. Jason Voorhees, from the Friday the 13th series, is going to be a playable fighter for anyone who buys the Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack. Known for his hockey mask face and being nearly unstoppable, the horror movie icon was announced, fittingly enough, on Friday the 13th. All we have so far is a 25 second long teaser trailer but really, it’s Mortal Kombat and Jason together, finally. Do we need to see more? Jason is the first announced character for the Kombat Pack, with a second guest character and two “Klassic Mortal Kombat Kombatants” coming later.
