Publisher Curve Digital and developer Roll7 are closing on Xbox and Nintendo releases for their 2D twitch arcade skateboarding game, OlliOlli. When it releases on Wii U and 3DS, Curve has something special: the game will be cross buy. If you buy one port, you get the other for free. All you’ll need is a Nintendo Network ID.
Curve has done cross buy for a number of games on PSN so this type of things isn’t new territory for them. However, it is pretty difficult to find games on the eShop that are cross buy. The best you’ll generally get for games that release on both 3DS and Wii U (digitally) is a discount for the second version.
OlliOlli releases on Wii U and 3DS next week on March 5th. It will also release on Xbox One on March 6th. This comes two days after the sequel, OlliOlli2, releases on PSN.
