Square-Enix announced at today’s Japan Amusement Expo that a new title in the Dissidia Final Fantasy series would be coming to arcades! The first game in the Final Fantasy crossover series debuted on the PlayStation Portable in 2008, with a sequel coming to the system three years later; however, this game will not continue the story of those two games, instead serving as a reboot with a brand-new plot.
This game promises to include 3-vs.-3 combat, a first for the series, but apart from that, details are scarce. Square-Enix will hold a press conference on April 10, though, to reveal more information. In the meantime, a trailer has been released for the game (made only using in-game assets), which can be viewed below.
