Rumor: Gold & Silver Mario Amiibos Incoming?

Earlier today, a Neogaf poster pointed out something peculiar from Nintendo’s official website that was soon taken down, and that was two certificates for two amiibos: A Gold and Silver Mario amiibo, which you can clearly see below.

Besides being on their official website, Nintendo did announce that they would be releasing Limited Edition amiibos. And these two certainly do seem to fit the bill. Now, whether these will be sold at retail in limited quantities, or be part of some Club Nintendo reward weren’t stated. Of course, until announced, this is a rumor so it could be a mistake, but it does seem likely.
