Langrisser, named Warsong for Western audiences, is a strategy RPG released in 1991 for the Sega Mega Drive and continued to see releases up until the 1999 installment, Langrisser Millennium: The Last Century.

Weekly Famitsu has released screen shots of Masaya Games’ new game for the Nintendo 3DS. This will be a new title in the Langrisser series. The game will support 10 vs 10 strategy RPG battle sequences with characters rendered in the chibi style art. The story so far features a boy who’s acquired the holy blade Excalibur as he set out to find a friend who’s been taken away from him.

Langrisser has been announced for release in Japan.
