PS4 Version

XDev Studio Europe has confirmed that Resogun will indeed come to Sony’s other systems, the PS3 and Vita. This confirmation comes several days after a PEGI listing for the game was spotted and specifically for the PS3 and the Vita.

Housemarque, the game’s developer, created Resogun specifically with the PS4’s horsepower in mind. The game features a large number of onscreen enemies, particle effects, and voxels as a norm. In order to get the game running on the PS3 and the Vita, Climax Studios, the studio porting the game, had to make one concession; they locked the frame rate at 30 frames per second as opposed to 6o on the PS4.

The game will support Sony’s cross-buy and cross-save functionality, which means owners of the PS4 version will be able to download both versions for free and transfer their progress to them. The two versions will be available on their respective PSN stores for $14.99 on December 23.

Suffice it to say that he has been known to play hours of Call of Duty multiplayer in between bouts of Persona fusing and Star Coin collecting while saving the world/galaxy through sensibly bald space marines or plucky teenagers with impossible hairstyles. Where does he find the time to write about them?
