If someone were to ask for one of my favorite games of the Nintendo DS era, I would definitely bring up Atelier Annie: Alchemists of Sera Island. I picked it up at a game store at random and had so much fun making all kinds of fun things. (Of course I failed at the story terribly.) I still play it occasionally and it’s a ton of fun! The reason I bring this up is that my inner most thoughts seem to be being read by gaming companies and turned into games.
Case in point, Atelier Rorona is coming to the 3DS! The game was announced during the Japanese Nintendo Direct today.
As a huge fan of both the Atelier series and portable fun, I’m so very excited for this! There haven’t been any details about Atelier Rorona for the 3DS yet, but if it’s anything like Atelier Annie on the DS, it will be pretty similar to the console version but with a simpler plot and a less detailed map.
Atelier Annie was the first game I played in the Atelier series and I’ve been craving a revisit to the land of Nintendo portables for the series. I’m very happy about the news. As for today’s announcement, Atelier Rorona for the 3DS will be out in Japan in 2015. No word yet on a North American/European release unfortunately.
What about you guys? Excited for the news? Looking forward to taking the ever adorable Rorona with you everywhere you go… in 3D? Think we might have to wait for Atelier Rorona for the 3DS until 2016? Let us know in the comments!
