Q-Games, previously known for developing PixelJunk Monsters Ultimate and PixelJunk Shooter, announced that they will be collaborating with Double Eleven to bring Nom Nom Galaxy, a game about making soup factories, over to PS Vita and PS4.
A game about making soup? Yes, indeed; at first glance, Nom Nom Galaxy might remind you of the indie game Terraria – what with the whole 2D aesthetic. The game’s feature list, however, appears dead set on making the game different from the beloved indie hit: Nom Nom Galaxy includes “tower defense, sandbox exploration, co-op platforming, resource management and construction,” and tops it all off with a “unique living eco-system.”
Nom Nom Galaxy also has a big co-op component, and Q-Games and Double Eleven state that they’re aiming to create “a seamless drop-in co-op experience that lets PS4 and Vita players all play within the same game” – online or couch, it doesn’t matter. The developers continued, saying the game will entail “asynchronous and community challenges as well as a host of other things that we’ll talk about in the future.” It looks like we will hear more about the game in the near future.
