Star Wars fans, rejoice! EA has announced that Star Wars: Battlefront 3 is being developed by the talented members of DICE studios and will be releasing in 2015. Since the 2005 release of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 on home consoles and PC, fans have been clamoring for a remake or a new entry to the excellent Battlefront series. Judging from the reveal video that appeared at EA’s press conference it looks to be everything a fan of the series would love to get their hands on and play. The game was teased at last year’s E3, and now some new details and footage are available.

At the beginning of the EA press conference they showcase a video of the development of the game, including appearances to actual movie locations to get the environments as real as possible. The aesthetics and visuals look to be on target with what the fans should expect from the series.

Unfortunately no exact release date was revealed but it will be released in Spring of 2015. I will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Get ready, Battlefront fans! It’s finally coming. And be sure to check out the footage below!

About Michael Johnston

Michael has been gaming since he was 6-years old and his exposure to gaming all started with a Sega Genesis and Sonic the Hedgehog. Since that day he has been a fan of all genres in gaming but his favorite genre has always been RPG's. His favorite RPG of all time is Persona 4 but he adores the Final Fantasy franchise (yes, even the XIII series). He has followed Operation Rainfall since the early inception of the localization campaign of Xenoblade and wants to help contribute to the awesomeness of Operation Rainfall.
