Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to an atypical Tuesday…and another episode of The Downpour Podcast!
Jonathan, Randy and Jared come together to celebrate fifty episodes of the show the only way they know how—by talking up a ton of games and anime like usual! Okay, so maybe there’s a little something special to look forward to, but we won’t ruin the surprise.
This week’s gaming news involves some slight dabbling in E3 Predictions, talk of Hyrule Warriors, Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS, a Kickstarter or two that almost didn’t make it, and more. As far as what they’ve been playing: Randy talks up Mass Effect 3, Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3, and more. And Jonathan smashed his way through six games new and old since last they spoke, including Kero Blaster, Bastion, Transistor, To the Moon and many more.
Jared really shines in the anime section (who could have seen that coming?), with talk of all he’s been watching lately. Expect impressions on The Irregular at Magic High School, Brynhildr in the Darkness, The World is Still Beautiful, One Week Friends, Captain Earth and more. There’s even talk of Sword Art Online! It only took Jonathan fifty episodes of The Downpour Podcast to finally sit down and watch it, after all.
One other special thing about our 50th episode is that we decided to do a live broadcast while we were recording. If you were there to watch we hope you had a ton of fun. If you missed it then no worries! We have it right here for you if you’d like to see our goofy faces instead of just listening to our goofy voices.
Enjoy the show this week! As usual, we always appreciate your feedback. Please let us know how you feel in the comments below or by sending an email to [email protected].
