To keep up with the almost weekly introductions of characters from Tales of Zestiria including Mikulio, Edna and Lailah, the weekly issue of Jump reveals a new character named Dezel with some information on him.
Dezel will be voiced by Daisuke Ono, known for doing voice rolls for a large number of popular anime and video games, including Attack on Titan, Final Fantasy XIII and Bleach. The character will be designed by Daigo Okumura, who has done designs for several Tales games, including Tales of Xillia and Tales of Symphonia.
Dezel’s quote reads:
I’ll say this much: you’d better stay out of my way. I don’t care if you’re a doshi, I won’t tolerate your interference
In battle, he uses Heaven Echo Artes that can attack vertically and laterally. He also uses his Pendulum to cover the battlefield in attacks.
In addition, three new battle elements were also announced. “Step around”, “Blast Guage” — which will be used to regain health and escape enemies — and “Spirit Chain” — which will allow players to chain attacks.
