The PlayStation 4 officially launched in Japan this past weekend and early launch figures have been revealed by Famitsu. The PS4 managed to move 322,083 units in its first two days. The numbers are surprisingly similar to the launch of the Wii U, which managed to move 308,570 units during its first two days on the market.
While the PS4 had a far superior launch than its predecessor, the PlayStation 3, which sold 88,443 units is at launch, it still pales in comparison to the PlayStation 2, which launched to 650,552 units sold. It will be interesting to see how sales hold up in the Japanese market in the coming weeks.
