Ubisoft has revealed the release dates for Rayman Legends on the two remaining next-gen consoles. We already knew the game was coming in February, but now we know exactly when. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game will be released in North America on February 18 and in Europe on February 20.

Ubisoft also detailed some of the new additions to these new versions of the game. First, there are new playable characters that can be unlocked in the Heroes Gallery. The Xbox One version features two characters inspired by Far Cry 3’s villain, the pirate Vaas, and another charatcer inspired by Splinter Cell’s Sam Fisher. The PlayStation 4 version will feature a character inspired by Edward Kenway from Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Players can also unlock an additional character by purchasing them with Uplay points, and have the chance to get an exclusive VIP hero by becoming the most active and highest-ranking in the Online Challenges.

The Xbox One version of the game will have timed achievements, in addition to the ones already on the Xbox 360. In order to earn them, you need to complete certain objectives during a limited time.

The PS4 version will feature Camera Mode that players can activate by using the touchpad on the PS4 controller. In Camera Mode, the screen is paused, and you can zoom the image in and out and pan to the left and right. You can also share the image online by pressing the Share button. The touchpad will also be used to let the player scratch off lucky tickets in the game. The PS4 also allows for the possibility of Remote Play if you have a Vita connected to your PS4.

Rayman Legends was initially announced as a Wii U exclusive, but has since been released on the PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita and PC. The Xbox One and PS4 versions are currently available for pre-order. You can also check out our review of the Wii U version of Rayman Legends.
