Robot Master No. 3: Clown Man
There’s a big part of me that wanted to make Clown Man Number 1. But alas, there is one Robot Master far more deserving of that coveted spot. However, there is a lot to love about Clown Man. He is one of those concepts that could have fallen completely flat, design-wise. Instead, he is an insane, flexible robot who swings about and uses his stretching limbs to electrocute poor Mega Man. The biggest thing I hold against him? His horrible voice acting. Though I originally was tickled hearing Robot Masters actually speak in Mega Man 8, that joy quickly dissipated after hearing some of their ridiculously annoying voices.
Robot Master No. 2: Cut Man
Now, hear me out. There’s a perfectly good reason I have Cut Man as Number 2. That reason is that he’s so ridiculous, he has to be cool. So basically, I’m kinda bending my derpy rule here. However, there is something unforgettable about Cut Man. He’s just so iconic, and as one of the original Robot Masters, he holds a lot of weight and prominence. He might not be the toughest boss ever, but any guy who’s going to attack you with scissors instead of an actual weapon has to get a lot of credit.
