Last week, the website for the next game in the Guilty Gear series, Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, was updated with a teaser image. It showed a silhouette of a soon-to-be-revealed character taking on an unusual shape.
Today, Japanese magazine Famitsu has revealed that the character in question is a new one to the series, and shall be known as Bedman. Bedman is the thirteneth character to be confirmed for the game’s roster. He will be voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa, who has worked on a variety of productions from Valkyria Chronicles and Shining Hearts to Sailor Moon, Gundam and Yu-Gi-Oh!.
Guilty Gear Xrd is the latest in the fight game series, developed by Arc System Works. Be sure to check out the game’s official website here.
Guilty Gear Xrd is due for a release in Japanese arcades some time next year. There is also a console version for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in the works.
