Disgaea 4 Return on the Playstation Vita is shaping up to look like an essential extended title to own alongside the original Playstation 3 game, now that a crazy new trailer by Nippon Ichi Software has been posted. According to our previous article, Disgaea 4 Return sees new content containing the high-leveled Peta spells along with additional characters, classes, story episodes, plus more — and now, they can be seen in motion in the new trailer down below:
We are immediately introduced to a new animated opening sequence with Valvatorez and friends along with the over-the-top action that the series is known for. Afterwards, there was some footage for the new story mode involving Valvatorez’s past with a playable Artina, and a look at the new character Nagi, whose design and special abilities are mechanic-themed. DLC from the Playstation 3 version have been shown in the trailer, including glimpses of cameo characters like Rozalin and Plenair from previous games. The graphical style appears to have made a successful transition from the home console version.
Disgaea 4 Return on Playstation Vita will be releasing in Japan at January 30, 2014. Those who pre-order the game will receive a vocal soundtrack featuring 10 tracks, called “Disgaea Vocal Song: The Best”. Nippon Ichi Software America will likely announce a Western release date at a later time, and we do hope it will be soon.
