The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds | Logo With Master Sword

Are you excited for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds? Did you like the musical Easter egg in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword? Well, Nintendo’s got another one, and this one’s pretty good, too. One of the themes in the recent Link Between Worlds gameplay trailer contains a hidden nod to the game’s predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Wow! My first Zelda game was the GBA port of A Link to the Past, so this is as close to nostalgic as I can get for the series (given that I first started playing the series as an adult). Never played it? Well, if you live in the United States or Canada, you’re in luck: from now until December 8, you can get A Link to the Past for the Wii Virtual Console for 150 Club Nintendo Coins. Get this, and you’ll be ready for A Link Between Worlds.
