Atelier Escha & Logy Logo 3

Tokyo Game Show 2013 is in full swing, but this doesn’t stop any Western-related surprises from being made. If you’re an Atelier fan, well you’re in for a surprise. The latest entry in the Atelier franchise, Atelier Escha & Logy, was announced for localization today on Tecmo Koei’s Facebook , Twitter, and official website today.

The latest installment in the long-loved Atelier series, Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky, is a direct sequel to Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk and will be released in Europe in early 2014 for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system.

For the first time in PlayStation 3, Atelier series players can choose if they will follow the story of Escha or Logy, a novelty that offers a unique story perspective and gameplay experience. Escha’s story is a delightful tale of the everyday adventures of an alchemist that Atelier series’ fans love, whereas Logy’s story follows a darker approach filled with traditional RPG elements and focused on world exploration.

And if that wasn’t enough, just after announcing the game, they had another surprise: the game will have dual audio on the disc. That’s right, all the complaints that fans gave for the last title, Ayesha, which forgoes dual audio unlike past entries, were heard from the good folks at Tecmo Koei’s European branch. They continue to impress and adhere to their fans, keeping updates, taking inquiries, and giving everyone the goods when it counts.
