At Sony’s pre-show for this year’s Tokyo Game Show (TGS), they announced and showed off quite a number of things.
Among these was the upcoming Yakuza Ishin, which translates to Yakuza Restoration; the latest in the acclaimed Yakuza series. It got a shiny new trailer, as well as a release date for Japan: February 22nd for both the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game. As the PS4 launched in Japan on this day, Yakuza Ishin will be a launch title for the console.

We’ve heard no word on a Western localisation for the game. Perhaps, though, if our efforts to bring Yakuza 5 and the Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Edition across are successful and the game sells well enough in the West, Sega will being Ishin over as well.
Who out there is excited for Yakuza Ishin? Anyone planning to import it? It sure makes a hell of a launch title for the Japanese, that’s for sure!
