I was just thinking we were overdue for another Nintendo Direct. This one wasn’t sprung on us like the one with the EarthBound announcement; we have just about 24 hours’ notice this time. But it goes out of its way to mention that it’ll cover “games coming this year,” so I suspect it’ll be a lot like this Nintendo Direct, the one that covered the games of summer 2013. Expect a release date for games like The Wind Waker HD, A Link Between Worlds and Super Mario 3D World. This is probably their chance to go into more detail about the games of E3 2013.
Have you all been vigilant about following the rumors of the fall System Update coming to the Wii U? Methinks some sort of “cross-play” between Virtual Console games on the Wii U and the 3DS is imminent—perhaps we can expect details about that during tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct. Somewhat related—Miiverse still hasn’t come to the 3DS as promised. There’s so much to speculate about, and there are only 24 hours to place your proverbial bets!
