Ubisoft hit all the right notes last year, leaving us with positive, lasting impressions of games like Far Cry 3, Rayman Legends, ZombiU, and the reveal of Watch Dogs. Now, things have changed from last year and Ubisoft, while still looking, is a bit tarnished from the debacle with Rayman. However, they can still win us over with another strong showing. Could they do it? You’ll find out in a bit.
But first, let’s rock with Jerry Cantrell from Alice in Chains as he shows off Rocksmith 2014.
After Aisha Tyler welcomed everyone, wearing a shirt that showed off her famous quote from last year (#girlwood), they showed off Splinter Cell: Blacklist. The game will be coming to all consoles and release in August.
Next up, two new trailers were shown for Rayman Legends. The game will be coming on September 3rd on all major consoles.
Next up is The Mighty Quest For Epic Loot, a free-to-play game. The game is all about building your castle and kingdom, protecting yourself from invaders. You can also invade other castles and take their treasure. The game is currently in Closed Beta. If you go to the website, you can join the free beta.
South Park: The Stick of Truth was shown next. The recent acquisition during THQ’s bankruptcy sale will be coming this holiday season. Also, #nagasakifart.
Next up is The Crew. The game will have you work to take over areas. You’ll be able to customize your cars as you and your friends get away from the Police or take on other crews. Cars can be customized on a second screen, like an iPad.
They then went on to our favorite game of last year’s E3, Watch Dogs. We get more looks at just who Aiden Pierce is. From the looks of the trailer, we see that he is some sort of vigilante.
By the way, if you’re looking for Just Dance, here is where it was. Just Dance 2014 will be on all consoles this year.
Next were the Raving Rabbids in a television series by Nickelodeon, Rabbids Invasion. It will be partnering with Xbox One to be an interactive show.
Following this was the latest look at Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. The newest installment in the Assassin’s Creed series will release on consoles and PCs in late October.
After Assassin’s Creed, we got a look at two new games: Trials Fusion and Trials Frontier. Fusion will be on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and PC. Frontier will be exclusive to mobile devices.
Finally, we’ve got our first look at a new game from Massive Entertainment. The game will be Tom Clancy’s The Division. The game will be coming to Xbox One and PS4.
And that is it. What did you think about Ubisoft’s conference. Vote in our poll and leave a comment below.
NOTE: We will be updating periodically as we are able to add more.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
