More news on Capcom’s upcoming Ace Attorney 5 has cropped up, giving us additional information on the Japanese release of the game. As originally suspected, Ace Attorney 5 will be on store shelves in Japan on July 25th. Along with this announcement, the Japanese box art for the game, as well as details on an assortment of special editions of the game were also revealed.
Japanese fans will have four different editions of Ace Attorney 5 to choose from. The standard edition of the game, available to all customers who order from the e-Capcom page, includes the game and an alternate sleeve for the game’s case which is randomly selected from a possible three. Next is the Extended Edition which includes everything previously stated, and adds a sheet of stickers featuring the characters from the game, as well as a Phoenix Wright-themed 3DS carrying case. The Figure Edition takes away the carrying case and stickers, but in exchange for a very snazzy Phoenix Wright figurine. Finally, the Limited Edition of Ace Attorney 5 comes with everything previously mentioned; the game, the Phoenix Wright figurine, the carrying case, and the sticker sheet, as we as all three of the possible game sleeves for those fans who don’t want to leave anything to chance.
Along with the special editions, we also see screenshots of what appear to be downloadable outfits for Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice and Kokone Kizuki. These outfits include Phoenix’s original suit from the previous Ace Attorney games, a decidedly unprofessional t-shirt and jacket for Apollo and a school uniform for Kokone. These will be available from the game’s release until August 15.
Finally, a collection of screenshots from Ace Attorney 5 was also revealed, mostly showing off Apollo and Kokone, though special emphasis was put on the game’s new rival prosecutor- the menacing, feather-chewing Jin Yuugami. What do you think, Ace Attorney fans? What are the chances that special editions like these will be available to us once the game finds its way to our shores?
