If there was ever an doubt that the upcoming PS3 and XBox 360 title The Phantom Pain was not the next Metal Gear Solid entry, the latest trailer dispels all doubt. Metal Gear Solid V is The Phantom Pain, with Ground Zeroes apparently serving as the prologue. Although plot details are still sparse, it is known that it will be the first game to feature the FOX game engine developed by Metal Gear Solid guru, Hideo Kojima. Also known is that Big Boss will be the protagonist in the game. Although an exact release date is still unknown, more details will no doubt be announced at the latest GDC. Until then, enjoy the latest epic trailer released for the game!
