VitaIn an interview with IGN, Don Mesa, PlayStation’s Director of Product Planning and Platform Software Innovation revealed that there are over 100 games in the works for release in 2013 on the PS Vita.

Mesa placed significant emphasis on the indie support the handheld will be receiving, but also stated that Sony’s first-party studios have big games in development as well. On these unannounced  titles, Mesa stated, “There are games that [Sony] Worldwide Studios guys are building that are… going to be very interesting and innovative, but to give it away too early… we’re always worried about copycats.”  I could insert a very fanboy-ish comment here, but I’ll refrain.

The rest of the interview focused on player feedback and statistics, which you can read about in IGN’s full interview.

Hopefully, these claims come to fruition, because if there’s anything the Vita needs right now, it’s more games.
