If you’re a fan of old-school RPGs like the old Final Fantasy titles or Suikoden II, then you’d better hurry on over to check out the Kickstarter campaign for Terra Incognita, Chapter One: The Descendant. No, seriously. This campaign has only a few hours left for what’s shaping up to be a great nostalgia-inspired indie RPG. For the low, low cost of £1, you can snag yourself a copy of the game, estimated to come out this December for Windows. You can get multiple copies of the game for an additional £1 per copy. Head over to the campaign for character sprites, music samples and more.
Terra Incognita promises to deliver a gripping story, tons of side quests, plenty of opportunities to dungeon-crawl to your heart’s content, a huge world and lots of recruitable characters so you can build a party that fits your play style. Thanks to stretch goals, the game will also feature extra character costumes, a pet battle arena, a pet dragon you can fly around on, an old-school JRPG museum and community-built legendary weapons! Pretty cool, huh?
With a price tag that sweet on a game that hearkens back to the old days of RPGs, what are you waiting for? Besides just getting the game, there are some pretty awesome higher-tier rewards, like designing an in-game character and getting all future Terra Incognita chapters! There are only a few hours left, so hurry over to Kickstarter if you want in on the first Terra Incognita title!
