At oprainfall, we like to be taken seriously. We take our gaming seriously and work seriously hard to bring you the serious news. Seriously. However, that doesn’t mean that we can’t have a little fun. And this is where our next categories come in. To award Hottest Guy and Hottest Gal respectively, we welcome back Charlotte Buckingham and bring in Lead Reporter Steve Baltimore.

CHARLOTTE: The nominees are…
- Sazh Katzroy (Final Fantasy XIII-2)
Sporting a cool-looking afro in which he keeps a chocobo chick (which he probably uses to soften the ladies), Sazh Katzroy is undoubtedly a contender for this year’s Hottest Guy award. The gunner with a charming smile on an unselfish quest to save his son in the Final Fantasy XIII games will certainly send many hearts aflutter.
- Lowell (The Last Story)
Lowell is the smooth-talking ice mage from The Last Story. He oozes confidence and is more than skilled enough on the battlefield; he can use both ice magic and the sword in a fight. His slow, soothing, sexy voice combined with his rugged good looks is sure to leave even the chastest of ladies swooning.
- Zael (The Last Story)
Zael is the main character of The Last Story. He’s a gentle lad blessed (or cursed) with the Power of the Outsider, meaning he can bravely act as a diversion for his allies in battle. Zael is also quite handsome, managing to win the heart of a noblewoman with his good looks and kind personality. Certainly a man to look out for.
- Dunban (Xenoblade Chronicles)
Dunban is the wise, katana-wielding swordsman from Xenoblade Chronicles. After losing the use of his right arm during the Battle of Sword Valley, he taught himself to use his left so he could aid Shulk in his quest. Dunban would be able to defend any lady’s honour with grace and class.
- Reyn (Xenoblade Chronicles)
Reyn is the joker of the party in Xenoblade Chronicles. Loveable, goofy, and a tad slow, Reyn is nonetheless a fierce warrior who would be more than willing to jump to his lady’s (or anyone’s) defence. With his fearlessness and hulking muscles, Reyn is one of the tougher (and hotter) blokes from the year.

Dunban
The agile swordsman from Xenoblade Chronicles has been voted oprainfall’s Hottest Bloke of 2012! No surprise here, really, what with his devilish good looks and his prowess against the Mechon.

STEVE BALTIMORE: Here are the nominees…
- Fiora (Xenoblade Chronicles)
Fiora is Shulk’s childhood friend and your typical girl next door. She is very down to earth and lovable, in that small town girl sorta way. Not lacking in features, she is very pretty and not mention she has a great personality to boot. Will Shulk ever see her more than a friend? Only time will tell.
- Melia (Xenoblade Chronicles)
If you are into older women, Melia may be the girl for you, being much older than she looks. She is very elegant, preferring people to use manner and be polite whenever possible. She is very cute in that reserved girl kinda way. She is that cool, calm, and collective gal that everyone loves.
- Syrenne (The Last Story)
The most outlandish member of her mercenary group to be sure. She drinks like a fish and has a foul mouth, but she is also very kind. Thinking of her comrades before herself, she is always in the thick of danger from wherever it comes. If you love the headstrong gal that just rushes into danger without thinking, this maybe the one for you.
- Calista (The Last Story)
Ah, the princess having spent most of her life being locked up in the castle. Calista yearns to get out and explore the world around her. Being very polite and cheerful, she has a great personality and is very beautiful. Always thinking of others before herself, her selflessness makes her one of the most attractive characters on this list.
- Palutena (Kid Icarus: Uprising)
The beautiful Goddess Palutena is classy and sexy. She is level headed and light hearted. She gives Pit his powers of flight and is a calming voice when everything around him seems to be going to hell.
THE WINNER IS…
Syrenne
She may be wild and a bit over the top, but there is nothing hotter than a gal that loves to have a good time. The fact she has a kind side to her and is absolutely beautiful is just icing on the cake.
