Ladies and gentlemen! The first week of 2013 is behind us. And Operation Rainfall’s Retro Commercial Research Team (in other words…not me) is busy recapturing the hundreds of Denpa Men that got loose from his 3DS this past weekend. I’ve got some pretty big shoes to fill this week, so I’m going to do so the only way I know how—with more Fire Emblem talk. That’s right, folks; we’re less than a month away from playing Fire Emblem: Awakening in North America! Let’s celebrate that with some Japanese Fire Emblem commercials (I could only find one released in the US, boo!) for your enjoyment, as I usher in the first Retro Wrap-Up of 2013!
Here are some highlights from the past week!
The Oprainfall Staff voted on their Top 5 Moments of 2012! Our Game of the Year (read: Xenoblade versus The Last Story poll, haha) stuff is coming very soon!
Our Anime of the Past feature covered El-Hazard: The Magnificent World!
(I’m still contemplating doing an Anime of the Past on Excel Saga…)
Steve Baltimore reviewed PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Not to be outdone, David Fernandes brought forth our first ever guide review with his take on the Monster Hunter Beginner’s Guide! And this week’s Games of the Past Review is D2, courtesy of Scott MacDonald.
Last but most certainly not least, we have a new series! Two of Oprainfall’s talented ladies, Rose Weitz and Crystal Baltimore present Building Character!
