In a recent interview with Siliconera,  Senran Kagura producer Kenichiro Takaki discussed the possibility of a Western release for Senran Kagura Burst. In line with his previous statements expressing an interest on localization, Takaki stated that he would like to release the game in the West as a digital download on the 3DS eShop. However, Takaki wants to wait until Nintendo builds a stronger foundation for its downloadable titles in the West before releasing it. His concern is justifiable considering that the number of retail titles on the eShop is still fairly small, which will hopefully change in the near future.

Nintendo of Korea currently has Senran Kagura Burst scheduled for a release on its eShop in 2013, so hopefully it will be the first of many regions to receive a release.

How would you feel about a Western release on the eShop? Come discuss it on our forums!
