The Wii U finally hit Japanese stores last Saturday, and has sold quite a decent amount in its first week, as is expected of a brand new Nintendo console. However, first place in the Media Create sales charts belongs not to New Super Mario Bros. U, not even to the immensely popular Monster Hunter game released for the Wii U. No, that spot belongs to Yakuza 5, and quite delightfully so. While there currently does not exist any word of a western localisation, these sales certainly do induce realistic hope.
Other than that though, it really has been Nintendo’s week, with even Paper Mario: Sticker Star doing great (you can hear more about what some of our staff though about that game in our latest podcast).
