Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix’s fourteenth instalment in the series, is a massively multiplayer online game that is being redone. The original game, which was made for Microsoft Windows, ran from September 30, 2010 until November 11, 2012. Fans were not impressed with some elements of the game so Square stepped up to redesign it. The redo will contain the first game’s lore, settings and story while the graphics engine, server and data structures will be completely revamped.
Additions or revisions to the game will hopefully satisfy everyone and make the game much more enjoyable. Some complaints of the original game were very much centered around the menus and interfacing in general.

Alpha testing for the game began on October 29, 2012 and it will be releasing sometime in 2013 for Microsoft Windows as well as the Sony PlayStation 3 console. Below we have a 5-part series that will showcase the new gameplay.
