Soul Sacrifice, a game for the PlayStation Vita that is being developed by Marvelous AQL and Japan Studio, will be released soon on March 13, 2013. Created by Keiji Inafune, the game promises to be “a brutal combat experience where every decision made will have consequential results.”
With amazing graphics, terrifyingly imaginative monsters, and a gripping storyline, Soul Sacrifice promises to be a very interesting game. In Soul Sacrifice, the player takes the role of a slave of a powerful sorcerer who happens to find a forbidden book. Within this book, the slave can relive battles from the past, participating and gaining experience from them. And in order to create powerful magical attacks to defeat monsters, the player must decide what to sacrifice – items, body parts, or in the four player co-op mode – even other party members’ lives. Slain players won’t obtain gains even if the party does defeat the monster, for example, experience and loot. So the player must choose carefully what to sacrifice – once something is gone, it’s gone forever, and the players’ resources are not unlimited.
Soul Sacrifice has been confirmed for release in North America and in Europe.
