Half-Minute Hero 2 was released in Japan in 2011 and is a sequel to the cult classic RPG that was released in 2009 in the PSP. The games are known for their short and fast-paced levels which, in connection with the title, gives players only 30 seconds to complete the task that was given to them. The first game has players take control of five different characters in different modes of gameplay ranging from Action-RPG to RTS to Shooter. The second game removes the alternate characters and instead offers five different modes for the Hero character. The first game saw an updated HD re-release on the Xbox Live Arcade, titled Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax, released in 2011.
