The Idolm@ster: Shiny Festa steals first place in this week’s Media Create sales, quickly breaking the 100.000 mark already in its first week of release. The PSP rhythm game is based on the very popular Idolm@ster game-turned-anime series, and was released in 3 different versions – explaining the large sales numbers.
Another game that finally broke 100.000 collected sales this week was Project X Zone, however barely making the top 20 list. The game’s sales in Japan have been unexpectedly underwhelming considering its nature and roster of playable characters, so Project X Zone’s localisation possibilities are currently uncertain at best. All we can do is hope Namco will try for better sales in the west.
In contrast to Project X Zone, Bravely Default has had some excellent and consistently high sales. A localisation for this hit does not seem farfetched in the least; it’s all just a question of when.
