Out today is a new trailer for the next installment on the Castlevania franchise.  The game, titled Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, takes the series and mixes a bit of both 2D and 3D gameplay elements in order to climb and reach Dracula’s castle.  The game takes place 25 years after the prequel.  Over the course of the game, players will have control over 4 different characters.

The trailer below shows a few examples in gameplay as well as the use of the 3DS.  There will be more focus on the whip with boss fights and exploration putting a major emphasis on the legendary weapon.  Mirror of Fate will also make use of the touch screen and the stylus to solve puzzles and change around inventory.  Also mentioned was the length of gameplay, which is estimated to be a total of 20 hours.  Check out the link below to catch a glance of gameplay along with a classy rendition of a well-loved line at the very end.
