Under Defeat, known for its controversial decision to allow players to control German speaking characters who are wearing uniforms that loosely look like Nazi uniforms, is giving us reason to celebrate once more. The classic shoot em up will be getting a Deluxe Edition releasing in the UK on November 9th.
In Under Defeat HD, you command a helicopter fighting your way to the end in this reality that is based on a world war scenario. The game promises some visually stunning scenes as you wreak havoc on the skies.
Rising Star Games has promised these new features:
Rumbling tank suspensions, massive explosions and dark clouds of smoke, the new HD version presents a further refined iteration of the original with improved artwork, textures and shadowing.
16:9 New Order Mode
Making full use of HD TV screens, the New Order mode presents a field approximately twice the size of traditional vertical arcade shooters, effectively adding a new dynamic to the battle with increased range.
In addition to the two original control options, gamers can also elect to control the direction of their shot with the right control stick.
Exclusive Deluxe Edition includes
- Full game disc
- All current DLC and patches
- Digital art book
- Soundtrack CD featuring tracks from the New Order Mode
- New chopper to control, exclusive to this edition
- Letter from G.rev CEO and UD executive producer, Hiroyuki Maruyama
Under Defeat HD is available on both the PS3 and Xbox360. Fans have already been asking about a North American release, and Rising Star Games does not disappoint! They tweeted “Hopefully not too long afterwards, I’ll let you know asap – Samuel” when recently asked. We do love that enthusiasm, RSG.
