Today, CD Projekt RED (http://cdpred NULL.com/) released several absolutely stunning screenshots from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (http://www NULL.thewitcher NULL.com/). Their claim that the world will be thirty times larger (http://www NULL.gameinformer NULL.com/b/news/archive/2013/02/04/march-cover-reveal-witcher-3-wild-hunt NULL.aspx) than that of The Witcher 2 seems realistic, looking at these images. Along with the beautiful environments, check out the details on the tavern-goers. For proper drooling, I recommend opening these in their own tab, as they are quite large.
The Witcher series follows Geralt, the titular witcher, through a unique fantasy world. The titles have been praised for their mix of magic, alchemy, and swordplay, along with morally gray decision-making. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until sometime in 2014 to get our hands on The Witcher 3, which has so far been announced for Windows PCs and the PlayStation 4. In the meantime, a new playthrough of The Witcher 2 may be in order.
- Geralt overlooking a small valley
- Horses beat men every time.
- Counting sheep
- Igni gives an ice giant extreme discomfort.
- A view of the open world
- More boats. Year of the boat.
- The distant cliffside beckons exploration.
- I’m on a boat!
- We’re whalers on the sea…
- This bard is clearly up to no good.
- Close-up of the tavern’s inhabitants
- The detail in this town is striking.
