All aboard!!!

I am pleased to report this Oprainfall-exclusive information that no one else could possibly know: the Wii U launches November 18th, 2012, just two days from now! Regardless of whether or not we’re ready for the next console generation, this Sunday marks the beginning of a new and exciting era in gaming.

All that said, the staff at Oprainfall are varying shades of excited. Some are quite happy just gaming on their 360 and PS3, others are slightly interested but maintain an air of caution with Nintendo launches. Some would love to play Wii U if they could afford it; they might get lucky this holiday season! And then there are the handful of us who drove to our respective retailers the moment we finished reporting on the conference in order to put some money down.

I wanted to take a moment to poll the staff interested in Wii U to figure out what games they were most interested in picking up at launch (or within the launch window). This isn’t a Top 10 list or anything like that, although details as to what games our staff specifically listed can be found on the next page of this article. But these are the six titles I saw come up the most often, in no particular order.

The Sleeper Hits

Of course, there are much more games coming out at launch and within the first few months of 2013. It would be folly not to mention the great games coming to the Wii U eShop on Day 1 as well, right? I, for one, am really excited for Toki Tori 2 coming soon, and Two Brothers coming sometime in the first part of next year.

Over the next few weeks after the Wii U launches, we’re going to be reviewing every game we can get our hands on. Expect tons of coverage soon.

What games are you all looking the most forward to? Be sure to discuss in the comments below!

And you can check out the next page for a breakdown from each Staff Member who contributed, if you want to see our varied tastes!
