Harvest Moon: A New Beginning is coming this October to North America for the Nintendo 3DS.  If you are familiar with the past decade of the series, you’ll be familiar with the story of the game.  Echo Village has fallen on hard times and needs you to work the farm to bring the people back.

There are also some new aspects to the game as well.  Customization is being touted by North American publisher Natsume as you can change the appearance of your character with different clothes, hair styles, and skin color to name a few things.  You can also customize your farm with how it is set-up with ease.

Need any more reason to buy the newest Harvest Moon game?  GameStop (http://click NULL.linksynergy NULL.com/fs-bin/click?id=A*cPo7ijYRI&subid=&offerid=255565 NULL.1&type=10&tmpid=7050&RD_PARM1=http%3A%2F%2Fwww NULL.gamestop NULL.com%2Fnintendo-3ds%2Fgames%2Fharvest-moon-a-new-beginning%2F103039) has that covered.  It has recently been announced that GameStop will be giving away Yak plushies for every pre-order of Harvest Moon: A New Beginning.  Natsume has also confirmed that there will be additional ways to get the plush toy but have yet to reveal how.

Harvest Moon: A New Beginning will release in North America on October 23rd.  It is priced at $39.99 and, based on previous games, should be rated either E or E10.
