Christmas has come early again for some gamers as Konami held its Third Annual Pre-E3 Show. What is in store for the future of the Konami brand… besides more Metal Gear Solid and Lords of Shadow 2? Let’s find out…
The show started out with a number of social and mobile games. The four games that were shown off were MLB Dream Nine, Puzzle Chasers, Domo Jump, MLB Live Challenge. They also showed off two social casino games through their Orange County Development Studio: Slot Revolution and Casino League.
The next version of Pro Evolution Soccer was shown off during the stream. The game will feature a new engine based on the Fox Engine called Fluidity.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain was shown off more during the show. Konami revealed that Big Boss would be voiced by Kiefer Sutherland, replacing David Hayter, who has provided the voice of Snake since 1998. Sutherland is excited to be a part of the project and has called it “an unbelievable experience”.
Finally, we had another look at Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. The game will be the conclusion to the Lords of Shadow saga and feature Dracula as he roams a more modern setting, as well as his castle. Check out the trailer below, which seems to feature a conversation between Robert Carlyle (voice of Dracula) and Patrick Stewart:
