Natsume has officially announced that Hometown Story will be released on the Nintendo 3DS on October 22nd in North America. The game will also be coming to Japan this December and to Europe early next year. North America will also be getting an iOS version of the game sometime next year.

With the release date coming up this month, it’s time to think about pre-ordering if you want to get your hands on one of those adorable pre-order plushies. By pre-ordering the game, you’ll get one of four Ember plushies. The color you get depends on where you pre-order from. So if you were hoping to earn yourself one of these cute little guys, you should pre-order now.

Hometown Story

Hometown Story is a life simulation game similar to the Harvest Moon series, which is no surprise since both were created by Yasuhiro Wada. The major difference seems to be that while Harvest Moon focused on farming, Hometown Story will focus on running the shop you inherit from your grandmother. Wada has mentioned that the game will take place in the Harvest Moon universe, but has promised that the game will be a completely different experience.
