This week’s Nintendo Download has something for everyone. We have a fantastic RPG from FURYU brought over by NIS America in MONARK, Infernax shows me how brutal and fun my childhood was and SOL CRESTA gives us some arcade SHMUP action. This is a busy week, so let’s jump right in.

First up we have MONARK. This highly anticipated RPG has players dispelling an evil mist around Shin Mikado Academy. You will have to defeat the Pactbearers in order to do this by building up your ego. The game has an interesting story premise and the combat looks great as well. We will have a review of this live on the site shortly.

Infernax is a retro style Metroidvania that will make a lot of us have fond memories of Castlevania 2, if it were made better and modern day. There are several awesome pixel art cutscenes, multiple endings and the game features some solid action as well.

SOL CRESTA is part of PlatinumGames’ NEO-CLASSIC ARCADE series that carries on the spirit and fun of classic gaming using modern platforms. You can expect some top quality gameplay here, and likely plenty of replay value.

Here is the rest of this week’s releases:

That’s it for this week’s Nintendo Download. We’ll be back next with more great releases to talk about it.

About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.
