It has been announced that Tatsunoko Production will produce The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War anime. Hidekazu Satō will direct the anime at Tatsunoko Production. Satō previously worked on Aquarion Logos and Last Hope.
The story will take place in the country of North Ambria, and it will follow a new original character named Lavie. Based on the anime’s title, the story will detail the events of the Northern War. The Northern War was previously referenced in Cold Steel III, but the events were never told in detail.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel – Northern War is scheduled to premiere in early 2023.
