We’re back for the second Nintendo Download of December 2020. This one is a shorter one, with three featured titles and a somewhat shorter selection of new eShop games. We also have one major sale to look at, which is in celebration of The Game Awards.

Featured Games

First up we have DOOM Eternal ($59.99). The game is a direct sequel to DOOM 2016. Take on the armies of hell that are invading the Earth. You are the DOOM Slayer, the only thing that stands between the world and its utter annihilation. Wield upgraded guns, a shoulder-mounted flamethrower, a wrist-mounted blade, and more. Utilize new abilities, and gather health, ammo, and armor from the demons you slay. You can also dive into the new 2 versus 1 battle mode, where the DOOM Slayer takes on two player-controlled demons!

Next up, we have a mashup of Tetris with Japan’s beloved puzzle series, Puyo Puyo, in the form of Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 ($39.99). Match 4 or more same-colored Puyos or clear a line of blocks to keep your area clean, while dumping garbage into your opponents area. As they will no doubt not appreciate this, you’ll need to keep an eye on what’s coming your way too!

We also have the more artsy and unique PixelJunk Eden 2 ($9.89 | $14.99). It’s time to return to ever-changing sights and sounds. This time there are brand new plants and biomes. New Grimps are unlocked as you play, each with their own perks. They add new ways to play the game. Revitalize the world as you journey through it in this unique audio visual experience.

About Michael Fontanini

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general).

I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
