Are you fan of the classic JRPG franchise, Arc the Lad? How do you feel about mobile games? Well, it may or may not interest you to learn that Arc the Lad R, a mobile game from ForwardWorks, will be launching worldwide.

Arc the Lad R takes place after the events of Arc the Lad II. Ten years after the Great Disaster wiped out half the world’s civilization. The story follows the adventures of a young hero named Halt from Vigilante Crops of Millmana as he attempts to reconstruct the world. Said reconstruction is threatened by the increasing frequency of monster sightings and menacing Divine Beasts.

Previously released in Japan in August of 2018, Arc the Lad R will take it’s first steps in it’s international release with a Android-only closed beta running from November 19th-29th in Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia. After this beta period all data will be wiped.

Arc the Lad is a series of tactical RPGs that began in 1995 with the release of the first Arc the Lad on the original PlayStation. The last installment in the series was way back in 2004 with Arc the Lad: End of Darkness for the PlayStation 2, which is also the only game in the series to abandon it’s tactical roots and be more of an action RPG.

No release date has been set in stone beyond that previously mentioned closed beta, but it will be available for both Android and iOS users. When more information becomes available we’ll be happy to fill you in. You can also keep your eye on their official English website as well as their Facebook.
