The Witch in the Forest | Girls

The month of spooks is looking a lot different with The Witch in the Forest. Yes, Crystal Game Works are back to update one of the great ones from the past. So let me give you a rundown in case you’re lost. This is a game originally made for Yuri Game Jam 2017. However, the development team intended to give some more love to this wonderful project. Here we are, three years later, and the game is up on Steam with a major update. You really love to see it. Crystal Game Works have been working on a couple titles prior to this including Asterism and Enamored Risks. It’s a pretty nice sight to see them work on their girls’ love title. The game is up for free on Steam and if you want to support them, you can grab the art book for a single dollar! That’s it.

So what’s The Witch in the Forest about anyways?

The Witch in the Forest (TWITF) is a short girls love visual novel centered around Fidelia, a somewhat introverted and socially awkward young woman who stumbles upon another woman’s house in the forest and befriends her. This slice of life story follows them learning more about each other while preparing for their favorite holiday- Halloween!

As the article ends, I encourage you to check out your local visual novel game jams to find more diamonds in the rust. In fact, I just wrote about one the other day for Spooktober, check it out here. Thanks for reading and have a happy October friends!
