Many felt that it was inevitable that Capcom would remake Resident Evil 3 given the success of their Resident Evil 2 remake earlier this year. Well, this seems to have been confirmed as cover artwork for the game has shown up on Gamstat, a website used to track releases on the PlayStation Store.

The original Resident Evil 3 came out on the PlayStation back in 1999, and was later ported to other platforms like PC, Dreamcast, and GameCube. Just like with the Resident Evil 2 remake, I’m sure the game will be completely overhauled.

Other interesting Resident Evil information to come from Gamstat is covers for the upcoming multiplayer focused Project Resistance, and these would seem to confirm the official title for the game will be Resident Evil: Resistance. No real surprise there.
